New story by me
(& an old one I forgot to promote)
Happy boxing day, friends!
I hate cross-posting, but I realized the other day not everyone on here has any reason to keep abreast of my offsite writing. Here’s a short story called “Jaguar Island Fever” out today in Burial Magazine. It’s about all the world’s trapped energies, and it’s set on something like New Bedford, Massachusetts if it were an island. One of the earliest readers told me the ending reminded him of The Winter’s Tale, which is the greatest Shakespeare play. Last clause is me not him.
And here’s “Universal Killer,” out In Charm School this past October. Actually you might have read it already. I put a first draft of it on Substack and then took it down after a little under an hour. It’s about a lifedeathboat.
